Prime is Wan 3.0 with the waiting taken out.
Wan 3.0 Video Prime accepts the same inputs as Wan 3.0 Video, runs to the same thirty seconds and writes the same audio. What changes is how long you sit there. It costs more per second, and whether that is worth it depends entirely on how many times you plan to try.

What we measured
Same prompt, same seed-free run, five seconds at 720p with audio, both models fired within five seconds of each other on 27 August 2026. Wan 3.0 Video came back after 200 seconds. Prime came back after 108. That is one measurement on one day and queue depth moves, so treat it as an order of magnitude and not a promise. The output of both is in the players below, so you can judge the picture yourself rather than take our word for it.

When the extra credits are worth it
Iteration. The first version of a shot is almost never the one you use, and the cost of a video model is not really credits, it is the afternoon. If you are going to run a prompt six times before it lands, halving the wait changes what you can finish in a session.
It is the wrong choice for a single final render you were going to leave running anyway. Then you are paying for speed you are not there to use.
Everything else is identical
Same 2 to 30 seconds. Same 480p, 720p and 1080p. Same first and last frame. Same ten reference images, five clips, five audio fragments, one document or one link. Same native audio, on by default. Same aspect ratios, including adaptive. There is nothing Wan 3.0 Video can accept that Prime cannot.

Wan 3.0 Video Prime questions
Is Prime lower quality than Wan 3.0 Video?
Not in the way the name suggests. Alibaba describes Prime as a high-speed version with core capabilities aligned to the standard model. Both clips from our run are on this page. Look at them and decide.
How much faster is it really?
In our run, 108 seconds against 200 for the same five second 720p clip. We are not going to turn one measurement into a percentage we would have to defend.
Does Prime take the same references?
Every one of them. Frames, ten images, five clips, five audio fragments, a document or a link.
What does Prime cost?
30.24 credits per second at 720p, so 152 for five seconds. 480p is 14.64 per second, 1080p is 60.48.
Try both on the same prompt.
Run five seconds at 720p on each. That is 96 credits and 152, and after four minutes you know which one you are using for the rest of the project.
